Principal's Message

CCHS Students & Families:

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!  It has been exciting to see our students preparing for all of our fall activities.  Our custodians have been working hard to provide clean and safe learning environments for our students.  Staff have been rejuvenating and planning for another successful school year.  We are fortunate to have up-to-date facilities in addition to fantastic students, dedicated staff, and supportive families.      

Central Crossing’s focus will continue to be our four R’s: RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, RECOGNITION, and RESILIENCE.  These four R’s should be prevalent throughout the school and classrooms.  Please help us by encouraging students to work hard, try their best, and seek assistance whenever needed.  Together we can build these attributes in our students.

A few additional items that we would like to share:

Freshmen Comet Academy: Freshmen Comet Academy for the Class of 2028 will be held on Tuesday, August 13 (12:00 - 4:00 pm).  Information regarding bus transportation to the event was mailed home in July.  Students will need their own transportation home from Comet Academy.  Students will have their school picture taken, receive their schedule, walk the building to find classrooms and lockers, learn about extracurricular activities, hear from returning students about what it means to be a Comet, and meet the staff.  Freshmen that are in need of a Chromebook for the upcoming school year will be able to obtain a device at the conclusion of Comet Academy.  

Schedule Pick Up:  Schedule pick up for 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students and families will be Tuesday, August 13 (4:00 - 7:00 pm).  Students will be able to have their school picture taken, pick up their schedule/locker information, and pay school fees.  Schedules will also be available in Infinite Campus on Wednesday, August 14.  Students will not be able to obtain a Chromebook during schedule pick up.  Returning students in need of a device will be able to obtain one on the first day of school.    

Open House/Title 1: Open House/Title 1 is scheduled for Wednesday, August 28 (5:00 - 7:00 pm).  Parents, students, and families are welcome to visit teachers and classrooms anytime during Open House.  

Freshmen:  Mr. Jon Marshall will serve as the Freshman Assistant Principal, in addition to Athletics.  

Sophomores:  We are excited to welcome Mrs. Ali McCarty to CCHS!  She will serve as the Sophomore Assistant Principal.

Juniors & Seniors:  Mrs. Deb Carver will serve as the Junior & Senior Assistant Principal.

Please reach out to the school should you ever have a question or concern.  We are excited to see all of our students on Wednesday, August 21.
