Principal's Message

Dear Comet Family,

Welcome back! We are looking forward to the opening of a new and exciting school year. Our staff has been working diligently to prepare for the arrival of our students. Many of our students have already been back preparing for their fall competitions and performances. The hustle and bustle of a new school year has begun.

Soon we will be welcoming the Class of 2024 into the Central Crossing Family. This can be both an exciting and anxious time for parents and students. In order to create a smooth transition, we offer freshmen the opportunity to attend the Freshmen Comet Academy on Tuesday, August 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During this time students will meet upperclassmen mentors, get to know teachers, and learn the “ins and outs” of Central Crossing High School. More detailed information was recently mailed home to freshmen regarding bus transportation to the Academy and the day’s agenda. We look forward to meeting our new Comets!

Schedule Pick Up is scheduled for tenth graders the evening of August 13 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. following Comet Academy. During this time students will get student ID pictures and student pictures, pay fees, pick up their schedules, and complete important emergency contact information. We ask junior and seniors to attend their Schedule Pick Up on August 14 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Please read through the newsletter to see what our students, clubs, and organizations have been doing this summer. The newsletter also contains open house, parent/teacher conference, and important testing dates. Other valuable information may also be found on our website.

We are excited for the opportunity to work collaboratively with the entire school community in order to help our students meet their goals. Our commitment to working together is important to the process of educating our students and is one of the most valuable contributing components of our students’ success. I am thrilled to be a part of the Central Crossing High School Team!

Enjoy the remainder of the summer break. GO COMETS!
